The staff is very friendly and accommodating. We enjoyed the friendly demeanor and wonderful hospitality of the staff, especially the available games and freshly baked cookies! We were greeted by several of the owners/workers friendly dogs, which always made our day! Adjacent to Rocky Mountain National Park (1/2 Mile to US 34-Fall River Entrance) and just a 5 minute drive to the quaint village of Estes Park, McGregor boasts some of the most spectacular views in the area. It was clean and the owners were very accommodating. In the summertime, the flowers are in full bloom and the birds and other critters are keeping you entertained! The views were incredible and everything we needed, from food to activities, was all within very short driving distance. One of the rooms (seems like a room designed for a couple) only has a full-size bed that's ridiculously high off the ground. Weekly rates available. A myriad of birds frequent our bird feeders strategically placed (and filled daily) at each cabin so you never have to leave the comfort of your "home" to observe these winged and furry critters. For the rates, I cannot think of another place in Estes that is better. Thank you so much for joining us a second time, Debi! Yes, it offers wheelchair access. There is no pool but the hot tube is nice. All our units come with kitchens, and the newly renovated and well maintained cabins and suites also have wood burning fireplaces, private patios with BBQ for that summer's eve cookout, jetted bath tubs with access by reservation to our private hot tub. Mule deer on the property, tons of chipmunks, birds esp magpies, and squirrels. Only 1/2 mile from the Rocky Mountain National Park, convenient to town, abundant wildlife, rustic yet with all the modern conveniences. Wonderful place to stay, The cabins are adorable. Lesson learned. McGregor Mountain Lodge is a lovely place to stay and if in the area I would consider staying there again. It was such a blessing to stay at the McGregor Mountain Lodge. I've stayed at 5 star resorts and hotels and have never been charged for a later check out. They even welcome pets in some of the cabins. Asked if we could stay a couple hours later to watch a basketball game and was told it was $25/hr to stay past 11:00. Are pets allowed at McGregor Mountain Lodge? They have a dobi mix that runs around with them, friendly but more interested in the critters than people.
