After almost 6 years of magnificent service, during peace and war, the 2d Medium Tank Battalion, 67th Armor, was disbanded on 25 March 1946. The task force continued to attack, fighting numerous engagements with elements of multiple Iraqi divisions throughout the 27th and into the morning of the 28 February. bridgehead and took Singling and Bining before being relieved 8 December. By 13 April, the task force had closed into the RAA and preparations began for the redeployment of the unit to Germany.
