Survivors include his step-daughters Shelia Bogard and Cathy Watts; sisters Mary Nell West Todd, Elizabeth West (Van) Johnson and Linda West Sullivan; nephews Christopher Johnson and Craig Johnson; great-nieces Catlin Johnson and Raven Johnson; great-nephew; Erin Johnson great-great-nephew Rayland Chandler; and a host of extended family and friends. He was a retired truck driver and a member of the Teamsters Union. He is survived by his wife of 58 years and two children, Michael (Holly D.) West and Michele West; two grandchildren, Owen Michael West and Ashley Jordan West (Ricky) Carter; two great grandchildren, Skylar Carter and River Carter; two brothers, Bobby (Valerie) West and Jim (Ann) West; one sister, Maxine (Paul) Kendall and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
